🌿lower-waste Shopping🌿
For anyone interested in lower-waste shopping, whether you’ve started, or want to learn how, here are a few tips on how to make a difference!
1. BYOB (bring your own bags) mesh produce bags, carrying bags, etc. You can make a significant difference in your weekly shops just by bringing your own bags and opting out for the plastic bags grocery stores offer you. (See our reusable bags here)
2. Use mason jars and bottles to refill dry goods such as nuts, seeds, beans, etc.
3. If you need to buy something pre-packaged, choose lower-waste materials such as cardboard or other recyclables, and buy whatever you can in bulk to reduce excessive packaging on single items.
Reducing waste and choosing lower-waste products isn’t always easy but it’s something you can feel good about at the end of the day. We all know it isn’t always easy but little changes can spark a movement to becoming a more conscious consumer.🌿💚♻️
